Marketing playbooks for real estate agents, stolen from every industry except this one.

Quick confession before we get into it. For a while, this newsletter tried to be a bit of everything, sent on a Friday. Some of it landed. Some of it was noise. We could never say what it was for in a single sentence. So we fixed that. Starting today, it has a name, a point of view, and exactly one job. It's called The Heist. Here's the thinking. RealScout spends its days with real estate agents and teams, thousands of them, watching what actually moves a business and what just looks busy. And the pattern we keep seeing is this: the ideas that break an agent's business open usually don't come from real estate at all. They come from a Liquid Death can. A Patagonia repair receipt. A Costco hot dog that hasn't changed price since 1985. Every other industry has cracked something you could borrow for your own marketing, and almost nobody in real estate is carrying it over the fence. That's the job. Every Friday, we take one great tactic from outside real estate, pull it apart, and hand it back as a version you can run on your own business. I'm Alice, and I'll still be writing it. I've spent 25 years marketing things that aren't houses: consumer tech at Sony, NASCAR sponsorships, and now PropTech here at RealScout. So curating ideas across industries is something I know well. But the point was never me. It's the vantage point: RealScout sees what works, and The Heist is where we pass it along. What's staying the same: weekly, still on Fridays, still free. What's new: it's tighter. A 4-minute read, not a homework assignment. It has an actual opinion. And every issue comes with one steal-this you can put to work by Monday. One idea, done well. Here's the shape of each issue:
The first proper issue lands this Friday — why Costco guards a $1.50 hot dog like a state secret, and what it should change about the one promise you make every client. One favor before then. Hit reply and tell us: what's the one marketing problem you'd love to steal a solution for? Cold database, listings that won't come, follow-up that dies at touch three — whatever it is. We read every reply, and the best ones become issues. Glad you're here for this one.
